Postdoc Andrew Strikwerda, from Boston University, has received a Hans Christian Ørsted Postdoc position for a duration of 24 months at DTU Fotonik under the supervision of Professor Peter Uhd Jepsen.

Andrew will be working on the HI-TERA project, which investigates nonlinear spectroscopy at terahertz frequencies. In addition to its usefulness in basic research, this non-invasive technique can be broadly applied to practical applications involving the detection of hidden biological and chemical substances such as pharmaceutical compounds, drugs, and food-related chemicals.
