
DTU Management Engineering focuses on planning, innovation and management of relevance to the engineering profession. Our scientific disciplins include three major areas:
Decision-making support systems
Including academic areas and themes such as: operations research, operations management, logistics, financial engineering, risk and relia-bility and quantitative sustainability assessment.
Product development, design and innovation
Including academic areas and themes such as: product innovation management, engineering design, entrepreneurship, innovation studies, technology foresight, strategy, urban development, sustainability and science and techno-logy studies.
Production and organisation development
Including academic areas and themes such as: production management, advanced planning systems, product configuration, mass customization, strategy, change management, knowledge management, project management, strategic management, construction management, facilities management, risk management and human factors.
Across these major subject areas, the Department has defined several multi-disciplinary areas such as health, food and sustainability.
