Research collaboration

Research collaboration with DTU Management Engineering can take place in different ways:

  • PhD projects (industrial PhD)
  • Research consortiums
  • Innovation consortiums/contracts
  • Collaboration agreements/co-financed research/consultancy

Industrial PhD-projects are research projects with a duration of 3 years co-financed by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Development. The candidate is employed with the company and usually spends 50 percent of the time in the company and 50 percent of the time at the Department. The project should have research related content that can lead to a PhD degree.

Research consortiums are research collaborations between several companies (2 - 4) and the Department. The parties each pay 1/3 of the financing and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Development pays 1/3. Projects are granted by The Danish Research Council for Technology and Production Sciences.

Innovation consortiums/contracts (Centre contracts)

Often include a number of companies, a GTS-institute, or another research/development organisation, and a university (DTU Management Engineering). Projects are granted by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Development.

Contracts
There are a number of possibilities for research co-operation, where the company can co- finance research at DTU Management Engineering, can place employees in our research environment and finally consultancy work, where the company pays for the specific task based on a formal contract.

You are welcome to send a request through . We readily consider the possibilities on a following meeting.
