At different times during their studies at DTU students will meet the requirement that they sign up for and complete different kinds of projects. Usually the burden of finding a suitable project rests with the student. Personal contacts with teachers may help when looking for a project.

A good place to start the search for a project is DTU's project database, a searchable collection of projects offered by different teachers and researchers. The entries in the project database will give both an impression of the range of subjects available and a list of possible teachers to contact about particular types of subjects. There may be other projects availble than those published in the database, so if the right project is not found, but an interesting subject area identified, the project database may still give a personal reference that may be used as the starting point for further enquiries.
