Professor Rafiqul Gani has received the 'CAPE award for a recent innovative contribution'. The award was presented during a Plenary Session at the ESCAPE 20 Symposium held in Ischia, Italy, June 6-9, where Professor Gani delivered a 25 minute plenary lecture in connection with the presentation of the prize.

The CAPE recent innovative contribution (RIC) award is given every 4th year in recognition of an outstanding innovative contribution to recent advances in CAPE ideas, methods and/or tools.
The EFCE selection committee unanimously decided to give the 2010 CAPE RIC award to Professor Gani in recognition to his impact on the development of Group contribution methods and their application to
product and process design.
