The overall objective for DTU Informatics is to carry out high quality teaching and research at an international level (within the departments curricula). DTU Informatics will educate competent engineers in demand by the customers who are private businesses as well as institutions within the public sector. The principal purpose of the research activities is to obtain applicable results which are useful to the society.
It is crucial that DTU Informatics spreads its knowledge and activities to the outside world, among other things by participating in the national and international debate within the department's area of competence.
