On an Ad-hoc basis, the Institute is approached and asked to provide consultancy services. Consultancies undertaken by the Institute must be sufficiently and appropriately linked to on-going research at DTU Environment. DTU Environment does not compete with professional consultancy companies and conducts only work related to its core educational and research missions. Consultancy fees are determined by guidelines from the Danish Ministry of Finance.
The rights to the results from consultancies are the property of the client and are specified in the contract (i.e. the results transferred to the client in accordance with the contract). The possibility of publishing scientific results developed through consulting assignments is agreed with the client on a case by case basis.
