At DTU Library, we ensure access to requested information by buying material suggested by our users.
We are therefore happy to hear from you if you have any suggestions for an information resource - an ebook, a journal, a web resource, a Danish standard or access to a database.
Proposals are made by filling in the form below. We will of cause let you know if we purchase the suggested material. If it is a printed book, we can reserve it for you and you will be notified when it is ready for loan.

Criteria for acquisition
DTU Library decides - within the financial frame - whether DTU should own the material or whether the material should just be made available for a short period of time.
DTU Library does not acquire teaching compendia, notes and class sets of books for teaching, nor printed material to be placed at the DTU departments.
We evaluate all proposals for purchase by the following criteria:
- DTU Library acquires primarily information resources relevant to research and teaching at DTU. The information resources must be at university level and be within DTU's research fields and the technical-scientific disciplines.
- As a rule, we acquire the material in electronic form for the use of all of DTU. Should the acquired material be in print it placed is at DTU Library.
- In general, DTU Library acquires only recent information resources i.e. published within the last five years. We might however purchase older journals and databases in the form of archives.
- We primarily acquired information resources in English or Danish.
