An independant project organisation at the Department of Civil Engineering

BYG•innovation will carry out contract-based assignments. This Work will have a high content of advanced metrics based on existing resources at the institute such as competent and specialized researchers, engineers and technicians, and will-equipped laboratories and test halls managed within a will defined but flexible framework and on market terms.

The resources of BYG-test consist of know how and innovation ability in Department of Civil Engineering - DTU Byg’s research teams as well as well-equipped labs and test halls, with equipment only present in the largest test facilities in Europe.

BYG•innovation will carry out experimental assignments in the shape of required assignments and partnership projects. The purpose will be to be available to all parts of the building and construction industry in trial areas, with a high content of advanced experimental techniques; hereby contributing to maintaining and expending our experimental facilities and expertise through income on commercial terms.

BYG•innovation wishes to enter into committed partnerships with other relevant partners with the aim of enable the highest possible transfer of knowledge and synergy with this branch of building research. Thus the achievement will be together to maintain and expend the collective basic research capacity, and will define competence areas in order to be in the forefront of the research needs defined by industry and society. We also wish to cooperate with innovative companies being established with offices and laboratory facilities at Department of Civil Engineering - DTU Byg.
