Department of Civil Engineering - DTU Byg is a university institute within the Civil Engineering area.
The mission of the institute is education, research, industrial collaboration and innovation. The institute contributes to the establishment of social and commercial values through knowledge development.
The vision is to become one of Europes leading Civil Engineering institutions and through this becoming a preferred partner in collaborations with companies and institutions in the building sector.
The strategy was approved by the board of directors at DTU in March 2003. the strategy was developed in collaboration between the employees at the institute, the advisory board, and the board of directors at DTU.
The strategy is put into action through a planning cycle, where the goals, action plans, and results are evaluated and adjusted continuously.
