Lifelong Learning - Open University

Students attending Open University can join a selected number of courses within The DTU engineering programme. Studies are conducted together with the ordinary students from DTU and classes are held in the daytime. In order for you to be enrolled you have to pay a participation fee and there has to be a vacant seat.

You can only apply for Open University with a foreign academic background if you have a residence permit for Denmark issued for other reasons. If you are an EU/EEA citizen you can apply for Open University studies directly since you do not need a visa. If you are not an EU/EEA citizen and you wish to apply for a course we need to see a copy of your residence permit before we can enroll you under Open University. If you are not a Danish Citizen you have to pay a tuition fee as well.

As of 1 February 2000, the Danish Immigration Service does not issue visas for Open University studies.
