DTU has five PhD programmes:
Each PhD programme has a committee with members from the PhD students and researchers from the relevant departments at DTU. One of the responsibilities of the committees is to ensure a high scientific standard and that each PhD student receives a comprehensive and well-integrated education.
Each PhD programme can have a number of research schools that cover a specific area within the programme. The purpose of the research schools is to give the PhD students a structured and comprehensive high-level scientific education. The specific research areas can be determined by scientific discipline, by application or method, or be determined by research objective and thus be multidisciplinary.
Several research schools are based at DTU. Additionally, DTU participates in many research school programmes with other universities in Denmark. DTU's five PhD programmes and their PhD schools and affiliated research schools can be found using the menu links on the left.
