MedTech EU net for improved access to EU Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development

 

The purpose of MedTech EU net is to ensure the future funding of research and international collaborations within the MedTech area.

 

The network is supported by The Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation.

 

MedTech EU net

In order to improve Danish access to European research programmes The Technical University of Denmark, The University of Copenhagen, The Capital Region of Denmark and Medicoindustrien has formed an alliance, MedTech EU net.

 

The network aims to strengthen Danish participation in EU framework programmes within the MedTech research area.

 

Actions in relation to the EU framework programs will be conducted in cooperation with Capital Region Denmark EU Office (creoDK).

 

Actions

MedTech EU net will launch:

  • Short and long-term lobbying efforts within the MedTech area (FP7 and FP8)
  • European networks and consortia
  • A mapping of the MedTech area
  • International awareness-raising events
  • Assistence  for EU grant proposals within MedTech research area
  • Implementation of MedTech "topics" in FP7, and FP8
  • Actions to highlight MedTech research in a European context
  • Network with international partners

Aims
The aim of MedTech EU net is to:

  • Ensure funding opportunities for MedTech research within FP7 and FP8
  • Influence the content of the EU's 8th Framework
  • Improve Danish access to European research and new EU initiatives
  • Assist the Danish participants to form consortia and networks for FP7 research proposals
  • Increase collaboration between leading Danish and European MedTech research and industrial environments
